What is artificial intelligence?

Artificial Intelligence (AI) performs automated tasks that normally require human intelligence. Examples are the automatic pilot in airplanes or the Google Assistant that remember and use the previous results to improve the accuracy of their future performances.

These devices have a self-learning ability that allows them to apply algorithms. FLX Solutions implements customized software robots based on this recorded data.


For example, by giving the Digital Assistant certain commands, it is very simple for a customer service employee to cancel orders. Or as a secretary you can easily make appointments between two different parties with two different agendas. And if you are looking for (customer) data, the Digital Assistant will also conjure these up in no time. As the Digital Assistant is tailor-made, it exactly executes the tasks assigned to it or the tasks for which you deploy it. An important factor to reduce stress in your employee(s)!

Machine learning

Machine learning is a type of artificial intelligence that involves the development of software whereby the system learns from its own experiences and errors. This means that the device improves its own performance. Machine learning is based on statistical science and is the technology that underlies artificial intelligence.

Data science

The transformation of data to valuable business strategies: the essence of Data Science. Data Science collects insights from structured and unstructured data and transforms this into valuable business strategies.


  1. NLP, or Natural Language Processing, is concerned with the transformation of data into structured data. You could say that NLP is divided into two elements:
  2. NLU – Natural Language Understanding NLU interprets data by extracting information and understanding the context in which it is said. NLU also identifies the intention and entities.
  3. NLG – Natural Language Generation. This is a process that transforms data into a ‘natural language representation’ that is easy to understand for humans.
